According to a tally conducted by the New York Daily News, Lopez was the editors' choice for cover girl a whopping 29 times in 2004. That's an average of more than twice a month! Following close on her tail for the title of "Cover Queen" is another Jennifer Aniston. Jen's mug was seen on celebrity magazine covers a total of 26 times during the year, both alone and with her equally famous hubby BRAD PITT. Rounding out the top-five list of 2004 celebrity magazine cover appearances are Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (with 23 covers), Britney Spears (with 22) and Jessica Simpson (19 covers), often pictured with her husband Nick Lachey.

Filmmaker Nicole Holofcener's new film, "Friends With Money," revolves around four best friends and their relationships with one another and their husbands, with only one (Aniston) not married. Keener is a longtime Holofcener veteran, having worked with the director on her first two features, 2002's Lovely & Amazing and 1996's Walking & Talking. And, if you've seen either of those two very talky films, you have a pretty good idea how Money is going to go
Keener previously worked with Holofcener in both 2002's "Lovely & Amazing," and the director's 1996 feature debut, "Walking and Talking," scoring a pair of Independent Spirit Award nominations in the process.
Between making the two features, Holofcener has directed episodes of such TV shows as "Six Feet Under," "Gilmore Girls," "Sex and the City" and "Cold Feet."

Jennifer & Brad are both highly involved with their burgeoning production company PLAN B - and take it in turns to work on it while the other is away on location.
Their first project is CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY starring JOHNNY DEPP and after that is THE DEPARTED with MARTIN SCORSESE.
BRAD GREY, who launched the film organization with the Hollywood couple in 2002, says, "Depending on their schedules or what they are shooting, that changes on a day-to-day basis.
"When Brad was in the midst of TROY, we made it work on the phone, and Jen was very involved. In the past month he has been very involved, but Jen has been off shooting.
"You have to walk before you can run. Our priority is finding our way to great material and producing movies we can be proud of which are profitable. So far, so good."
Massy Tadjedin, who recently penned the Warner Bros. feature The Jacket, has been brought back by the studio to script the ensemble political thriller The Case Study, with Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt's studio-based Plan B production shingle on board to produce.
Plan B and Tadjedin have been developing the project together, with Aniston eyeing the pic as a potential starring vehicle. Courtney Valenti, Warner's senior vice president of production, will spearhead the development on behalf of the studio.
Tadjedin recently penned the indie project Leo, which Mehdi Norowzian is helming. The film, backed by Gold Circle Films, stars Elisabeth Shue and Joseph Fiennes and is now seeking domestic distribution.
The ICM-repped Tadjedin is also working on several other projects around town. She is now penning the suspense drama Lady Gold for Paramount and Icon Productions and is working on the thriller Voyeur for Universal. Akiva Goldsman's Weed Road is producing that project, set in the Caribbean.

Hollywood super-couple Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have topped a poll to name the best dressed man and woman in showbiz respectively.
Pitt beat out competition from soccer superstar David Beckham, who came second in the survey for British magazine Company. Beckham previously topped the poll in 2002 and 2003.
Cold Mountain actor Jude Law was voted into third place.
Beckham's ex-Spice Girl wife Victoria came second in the female style icon list, behind Aniston.
Third best dressed woman is UK TV presenter Cat Deeley.
Editor Victoria White says: "Brad and Jen rarely make a fashion mistake whether they are strolling down the red carpet or along the beach their outfits always compliment each other.

Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston spent four days in Ethiopia to learn more about AIDS in Africa to prepare for a campaign to raise funds to combat the disease on the world's poorest continent, a spokesman said Tuesday.
The trip was organized by DATA, a Washington-based lobby group co-founded by rock star Bono, which campaigns on third world trade, debt and HIV/AIDS. The couple, who are married, began their first visit to the Horn of Africa country Friday and left late Monday night.
"It was a listening and learning visit," said DATA spokesman Jamie Drummond. He declined repeated requests for comment from Pitt or Aniston.
While in Ethiopia, Pitt and Aniston visited local projects to fight the spread of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. They also met with eight top Ethiopian singers, who have collaborated on songs to educate people about HIV and to raise money for AIDS programs.
Tsedenia Gebremarkos, who has just released a hit album in Ethiopia, said Pitt was keen to know how Aids had afflicted the nation, one of the poorest on earth where average annual incomes are just US$100.
"He was very humble and really interested in the situation here," Tsedenia said. "We hope his popularity can raise awareness in the same way we are trying to. We need the support of people like him."
In Africa 29.4 million people are living with the virus and 25 million children orphaned. More than 6,500 Africans die every day from AIDS, while 8,000 new people are infected daily.
Only about 50,000 Africans get potentially life-saving drugs, known as anti-retrovirals, while at least 4 million people need the drugs, which cost more than most Africans earn.

Movie On Track After Director Change
Jennifer current movie project now has a name, reports Mark
Ruffalo, who plays one of Jennifer's love interests in the flick. It’s “Rumor
Has It” – which is appropriate in a way that probably wasn’t intended,
given that the film has been plagued by rumors since it began production the
first time, July 24, as The Untitled Ted Griffin Project. First-time
director Griffin, who wrote “Ocean’s Eleven” among other credits, was
abruptly fired by Warner Bros. just eight days into shooting – when rumor
had it that Jennifer had expressed concern that the dailies weren’t
showing the right comic tone, and that there’d been loud and angry clashes
between leading man Kevin Costner and Griffin.
Rob Reiner was paged to step in as new director on the romantic comedy (penned by Griffin) that picks up on where “The Graduate’s” story left off. Production was temporarily halted. Changes were made. Tony Bill’s part was cut. Shirley MacLaine and Mena Suvari remain in the flick, which is being produced by Steven Soderbergh, George Clooney and Paula Weinstein. Now, according to Ruffalo, things are looking up.
“It’s a different movie and it’s taking a certain amount of acclimation to find my way in it but I feel good with it,” says the actor. Despite the conflicts, Ruffalo has faith in the new direction of “Rumor Has It,” saying, “I love Ted and I love the old script but this is equally as good a project.”

Jennifer wants the 22 million single women who didn't vote in the 2000 elections to vote this year. A television public service announcement featuring the popular star urging women on their own -- women who have never been married, divorced, separated or widowed women -- to get out and vote was produced for Women Voices. Women Vote (WVWV). It will premiered on Entertainment Tonight on Monday, October 4th.
The PSA, which was directed and executive produced by Michele Reiner, draws attention to the power women on their own could have in influencing elections. Page Gardner, co-director of WVWV says, "Right now the issues that women on their own care about aren't being addressed -- health care, equal pay between men and women, secure retirement and a higher minimum wage. But if the 22 million women who care about this agenda turn out on Election Day, it's going to be impossible for elected officials to ignore their needs. Ms. Aniston makes a powerful case to these women about making sure their voices are heard on Election Day."
Co-director Chris Desser added, "The fact that Jennifer Aniston is raising her voice will help others find theirs on Election Day, Nov. 2. We thank her and the production team who created this terrific spot. It sends a clear and powerful message to these women that come Election Day, November 2 their votes matter."
Women's Voices. Women Vote is a nonpartisan project of the nonprofit organization, The Tides Center, and is working to increase the number of women on their own registering and voting in this election. To that end, they have conducted the most extensive research ever done on single women in America - looking at 50 years of public opinion research, census data, exit polling and conducting their own polling and focus groups. Jennifer to Appear on Set of Joey
Jennifer is set to be the first FRIEND to appear on MATT LeBLANC's spin-off show JOEY. The Hollywood actress has been spotted in full make-up heading for the WARNER BROS lot where the comedy is filmed.
Matt wanted at least one of the old gang to appear in his first season on Joey and he and the producers decided it should be Jen.
"She couldn't wait to get back on the old Friends stage. She did her thing and spent the rest of the day hanging out with Matt."

For those who thought Brad Pitt wasn't squeezable enough, London's Madame Tussauds has upgraded their waxwork of the actor to include a bare chest ready for the stroking.
The popular interactive figure, which already included a pinchable bottom, now includes a bare chest which is warm to the touch. Fans can get up close and personal with the fake Brad, who is standing alongside his wife Jennifer Aniston's waxy double.
Brad and Jen statues, along with those of David and Victoria Beckham, are part of a new attraction at the famed wax museum, Celebrity Love Match, where visiting couples take a quiz to find out which celebrity pair they are most like.
Other interactive waxworks that have been introduced in recent years include a blushing Jennifer Lopez, talking Beyonce Knowles, water pistol-wielding Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and "breathing" Kylie Minogue.
Hollywood couple Jennifer and Brad have topped American magazine Instyle's What's Sexy Now poll for the fourth year running.
The pair have been named Sexiest Couple again on InStyle's seventh annual Who's Sexy list.
Jennifer also beat all women on the list, while Ben Affleck is the choice on the male poll. He edged out Pitt and Orlando Bloom.

FRIENDS STARS MAKE GUINNESS BOOK OF RECORDS
The female stars of FRIENDS have been entered into the 50th anniversary edition of best-selling book GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS as the highest paid TV actresses.
Jennifer , Lisa and Courteney earned $1 million (GBP555,500) an episode for the show's final season, which puts them on a par with Helen Hunt, who earned the same amount a decade ago for MAD ABOUT YOU.
But the male stars of the sitcom fell well short of the $1.8 million (GBP1 million)-per-episode deal Ray Romano has for EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND, which makes him the highest-earning TV actor.
Warner Brothers. has abruptly replaced directors and temporarily stopped production on its big-budget, untitled romantic comedy starring Jennifer Aniston that is based on the seminal 1967 film The Graduate.
Director Ted Griffin, a noted screenwriter who was making his debut behind the camera, was ousted only 10 days into filming and will be replaced by veteran director Rob Reiner, according to Hollywood's two trade papers, Daily Variety and the Hollywood Reporter. The production's woes were first reported on the Internet Web site Aint-It-Cool-News.
According to reports, Griffin, whose writing credits include Matchstick Men and the remake of Ocean's Eleven, was removed due to creative differences. Citing unnamed sources, the trades reported that Griffin came under criticism for spending too much time on shots with his cinematographer instead of the actors, lighting of the actresses became an issue, and Aniston complained that the dailies didn't seem to have the right comic tone.
The film revolves around a young woman played by Aniston who discovers that her grandmother, played by Shirley MacLaine, was the inspiration for the character of Mrs. Robinson in The Graduate. Aniston's co-stars include Kevin Costner, Mark Ruffalo, Greta Scacchi and Mena Suvari.

you send tons of filled-in questionnaires, that´s why I don´t want to let you down with regards to the results. Obviously numbers are pretty boring, therefore I tried to sum up the most important (interesting?) facts for you to read. When I began analysing your answers, I actually planned to split the results into German and international participants, but soon enough I found out that you all quite think the same, no matter where you´re from (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, USA, Great Britain, France, Russia…..and the list goes on). So you see, the results are definitely representative.
85% of all participants are female, therefore (of course) only 15% are male, but this is typical of all kinds of serials.
About 20% of you are younger than 20; a third between 20 and 30 years old, everybody left older than 30 - again, you carry out expectations. ;)
25% started watching “Friends” during the first season, throughout the following years about the same number of people joined in every season, although not too many newcomers joined in the last two or three years.
Pretty amazing - 93% watch every episode of “Friends”, and in addition to that a lot of you told me they own DVDs. This is a great thing- especially for all the foreign (outside US) Fans, because the DVDs include the original version in English. Translating dialogues, some lines of course have to be changed (movement of lips matches German/French/whatever sound), so you can imagine a lot (jokes, idiomatic expressions…) getting lost.
Hardly anyone watches „Friends“ because of a certain actor/actress, 95% simply like the show in general. Therefore about 85% are planning to watch “Joey”; even more in the US, since foreign channels have not yet decided whether they´re going to show it.
Same thing with the next question: 90% of you have never met any of the actors in the flesh - no matter which country you´re from. That´s no surprise, anyway, it gets more difficult to get close to the fans the more famous you´re becoming.
Talking about the show´s image, you more or less agree: 84% think of “Friends” as a rather realistic show, and some of you added, that there are of course certain scenes/dialogues…which do not happen in everyday-life, but we should not forget that it IS a tv-show and not a documentary.
96% of you are convinced that the six actors are friends in real life. I´m not going to go into details regarding the actors´ image- analysis I did…too boring for you.
All six actors are quite of the same importance to the show, whether we think of the plot itself or the time we see a certain character on screen. But nevertheless, 66% (!!) would choose Jennifer Aniston as an interview partner, second place Matthew Perry with at least 16%. Lisa, Courtney, David and Matt share about the same number of votes.
Something struck me while taking down the results: I asked you about things you´d like to ask your favorite interview partner. Almost every question you would like to be answered focuses on the actors´ careers, future plans … that is: professional territory. ;) Hardly anyone asked about the actors´ private lifes. So HERE, “Friends”-Fans obviously differ from fans of other shows. As you perhaps know, I also analysed a German Daily Soap and dealt with serial theories in general… you really surprised me, congratulations.
I listed three concepts for new serials and asked you to choose your favorite. 50% of you would like to watch the New York Single-Parties including the sisters´ /best friends´ rivalry, about 30% preferred the Berlin “fashionbattle” of cinderella and the “rich girl” and 20% are interested in the American political thriller.
As I talked to a lot of „Friends“-Fans before I started working on it, I already heard of Jennifer Aniston being the “favorite friend”. Therefore I chose her for the last question, I could also have chosen Courtney or Lisa or (ok, changes necessary then) the guys. Anyway, that last one was about a certain actor you got used to in a certain role - and the question whether it is possible to imagine that actor in a different context. So if we compare “Friends” to the three new serials, A (New York, Café, friends…) is definitely the closest one to the original. So as you see, half of you would like to see Jennifer Aniston acting in a show which is -at least to a certain extent- rather similar to the show you know her from.
So, Jennifer Aniston being an actress of your favorite show, you of course chose her to play the most important character. This way, the numbers also tell how easy it was for you to find out which role IS the most important one in the different concepts. And that was clearly easy to tell: Talking about serial A, 70% of you would like to watch Jennifer playing Andrea, who gets the whole thing started. When it comes to serial B (Berlin) 75% would ask Jennifer to be Mandy. As serial C is a kind of detective story, the detective is (since we don´t know the criminal yet) obviously the most important part in the story, therefore 60% suggested Carrie to be played by Jennifer.

Jennifer is about to get "Derailed." She will star opposite Clive Owen in the Miramax Films feature based on James Siegel's best-selling novel. Lorenzo di Bonaventura produces. The film will mark Academy Award winner Mikael Hafstrom's English-language directorial debut. Based on a script by "Collateral" scribe Stuart Beattie, "Derailed" revolves around a married advertising executive whose life takes an unpredictable turn when he misses his train to work. Production begins shooting in September in London and Chicago. Jennifer will start immediately after she wraps the untitled Warner Bros. comedy, written and directed by "Ocean's Eleven" scribe Ted Griffin, that loosely follows the storyline of "The Graduate." London and Chicago. Executive vp production Jon Gordon and senior vp creative affairs Jennifer Wachtell will oversee the production on behalf of Miramax. The 56th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards: And the Nominees Are.
Familiarity remained the unfortunate observation after The 56th Annual Primetime Emmy Award nominations were announced yesterday morning. In a sea of expected nominations, HBO stood head and shoulders above the rest with 124 in total 59 more than second-place NBC (65), and 15 above last year's 109. Although CBS remained third with 44 nominations (15 less than last year), ABC moved into the No. 4 spot with 33, two more than fifth-place Fox (31). Comparatively, ABC was equal in nominations to last year, while Fox was down by six. No. 6 overall was PBS with 27, followed by Showtime (18), USA (9), Comedy Central (7), commercials (no network affiliation, 6), and Bravo, Nickelodeon, TNT and UPN with four each. Cartoon Network, Discovery Channel and The History Channel received three nominations each, with Lifetime and the WB two, and The Disney Channel, IFC, syndication, and VH1 just one.
Most recognized by individual show was HBO miniseries Angels In America with 21 nominations, one more than the cable net's The Sopranos at 20. Third was NBC's overrated The West Wing at 12, followed by HBO's Deadwood and Sex and the City at 11 each (and that includes a first-time nomination as Outstanding Supporting Actress for Sex and the City's Kristin Davis (news)). Tied with 9 nominations was The 76th Annual Academy Awards (news - web sites) on ABC, HBO made for movie And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself, CBS' Everybody Loves Raymond, NBC's Frasier (despite failing to make the cut as Outstanding Comedy Series), HBO made for Something The Lord Made, and NBC's also overrated Will & Grace. Too bad members of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences don't recognize how The West Wing and Will & Grace have faded.
Tied at eight nominations was ABC's Alias, HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm and Fox's 24, followed by seven each for Fox's Arrested Development, HBO's Carnivale, NBC's Friends (also minus an Outstanding Comedy Series nod), and Showtime's The Reagans (which CBS must be kicking itself for not airing). PBS' American Masters, A&E's Ike: Countdown to D-Day and Showtime's The Lion In Winter received six nominations each.
In place of HBO's Six Feet Under as Outstanding Drama Series, which did not qualify this year because of too few airings in the allotted June 1, 2003 to May 31, 2004 period, was CBS' freshman Joan Of Arcadia. The Eye net's CSI, HBO's The Sopranos, Fox's 24 and NBC's The West Wing, which rounded off the category, were all visible last year. Although Fox's Arrested Development managed to replace NBC's Friends as Outstanding Comedy Series, HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm, CBS' Everybody Loves Raymond, HBO's Sex and the City and NBC's Will & Grace - yes, the monotonous, grating Will & Grace - are also repeat nominees from last year.
Vying for a spot, and failing to make the grade, was NBC's Scrubs, the WB's Gilmore Girls and USA's Monk as Outstanding Comedy Series, and CBS' Without A Trace, NBC's Law & Order, HBO's Deadwood, and FX's Nip/Tuck and The Shield as Outstanding Drama Series. Also absent for the umpteenth year was CBS' underrated King Of Queens.
Other freshman series joining Arrested Development and Joan Of Arcadia as nominees in one of the Outstanding Series categories was ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition for Outstanding Reality Program, and The Apprentice and Last Comic Standing, both from NBC, as Outstanding Reality/Competition Program.
In the key acting categories, although 8 Simple Rules For Dating My Teenage Daughter star Katey Sagal was considered a possibility as Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, co-star John Ritter was nominated posthumously despite appearing in just the first three episodes of the season. Will & Grace stars Eric McCormack and Debra Messing also failed to make the cut ( A surprise, particularly for Messing, who won last year), despite nominations for co-stars Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally in the supporting categories. I always knew a better title for this sitcom would have been Jack and Karen.
In particularly good news for ABC, both James Spader (as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series) and William Shatner (Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series) of The Practice, who will be headlining spin-off Boston Legal next season, made the cut.
Other first time nominees included Joan Of Arcadia's Amber Tamblyn and Law & Order: SVU's Mariska Hargitay (news) for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama, Arrested Development's Jeffrey Tambor for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy, and Steve Buscemi (news) of The Sopranos and Brad Dourif (news) of Deadwood both for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama. Bonnie Hunt of ABC's Life With Bonnie also received an unexpected nomination as Outstanding Actress in a Comedy for her canceled sitcom.
Of note, was a nomination for Matthew Perry in The West Wing as Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series despite no recognition for Friends. As for the old supporting gang from The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Georgia Engel and Cloris Leachman will again complete as Supporting Guest Actress in a Comedy Series (Engel for Everybody Loves Raymond; Leachman for Malcolm in the Middle), while White made the cut as Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama for The Practice. This was Leachman's 17th nomination (with a record seven wins to-date), and 15th for White (with four wins thus far). Considering Fred Willard was also nominated again as Guest Actor in A Comedy Series for Everybody Loves Raymond, my personal hope is that series creator Phil Rosenthal will keep the McDougals alive (with TV son Chris Elliott (news)) once Raymond signs off.

Jennifer has personally denied reports that she is pregnant.
On Monday, she told reporters that she is not yet expecting but she is "having fun trying".The 35-year old beauty revealed that she has visited Italy while her husband Brad Pitt is filming blockbuster sequel Ocean's Twelve. Aniston said that she did so because she's sure the country's romantic atmosphere would help her conceive their first child.
Ocean's Twelve is expected to be released in the US during the Christmas holiday season. We may have to wait till February 2005 to see Ocean's Twelve on local screens.

release, Troy.
He also suggested that he and wife Jennifer Aniston are planning to start a
family soon.

Jennifer is being lined up to play the role of war photographer Dickey Chapelle in her next film.
Warner Bros and Plan B production companies are developing a script as a star vehicle for the former "Friends" actress, according to industry magazine Variety.
Margaret Nagle, who is currently working on the adaptation of "The Lost Boys of the Sudan", looks set to pen the new film. Brad Grey, Brad Pitt and Aniston - who work for Plan B - will produce the feature.
Chapelle was a blonde, blue-eyed beauty who reported on the Second World War for "Look" magazine and "Reader's Digest". Her willingness to get pictures from the front line made her famous. Chapelle was killed in Vietnam when she set off a land mine while with Marines on a sabotage mission.
"She took the only pictures on the front lines of Iwo Jima, which were confiscated and destroyed by the State Department," Nagle said.
"In a time when reporters generally stayed behind the lines and were fed information to publish, this beautiful blonde who had a maths scholarship at MIT would jump out of helicopters and go right to the front lines with the Marines."
Aniston's latest project is a comedy based on a woman who discovers her family was the inspiration for "The Graduate" and she may be the offspring of that celebrated union.

A) New York, 2004. Celine and Frances own a café, in which they organise a weekly party for singles. Celine´s sister Andrea is writing for the lifestyle magazine "come on in" and is now planning to write about those parties to attract more people. Frances really likes that idea, but Celine is rather sceptical. So, to find out more about those parties, Andrea disguises herself and -with the help of Frances- joins the crowd to "test-date" several men.
B) Berlin, 1986. Mandy is working as a salesperson in a luxury boutique in Berlin´s hippest quarter "Mitte". When one of the models, who usually show off the boutique´s clothes to customers, falls ill, Mandy is asked to do it. Therefore Steffi, whose father owns one of Germany´s largest factories, mistakes her for one of those "rich girls". Mandy, living in the socialistic German Democratic Republic, secretely admires Steffi´s world and those two girls become friends. In order not to be recognized as an ordinary girl, Mandy borrows Armani and Prada dresses, skirts and shoes from the boutique without being caught.
C) Washington, 1951. The main treaty which founded the NATO as the Western military union against the Sowjet Union is signed in 1949. Soon enough, Greece and Turkey apply for membership. When Linda de Freers, Dutch assemblywoman, is found stabbed with a Turkish knife in the NATO headquarters, young American officer Carrie Denver is charged with this case´s investigation, she quickly finds out about Linda de Freers´ affair with Norwegian assemblywoman Berit Skagen´s husband. Moreover, Carrie Denver receives one of Linda de Freers´ letters to the Turkish Prime Minister, telling him she´ll vote for the membership of Turkey.

Aniston Avenue Domain Down (Update 5/17/04) Exactly as I supected the hold was due to the expiration of Domain Direct and the transfer to IPower since it just happend to take place on the weekend when the transfer office was closed. So That a good thing that I was right But on the down side, now we have to wait for the transfer to take place. Which can take up to 7 days to complete not more and maybe less.

Jennifer Aniston among Olympic torch bearers.
ATHENS, Greece — Magic Johnson, Carl Lewis and Gail Devers, along with Friends TV star Jennifer Aniston, will help carry the Olympic torch on its journey around the world.
Australia's 400-meter Olympic champion Cathy Freeman will carry the torch at the start of the relay in Sydney on June 4.
Later in Brazil, the flame's first appearance in South America, the torch will be carried by soccer stars including Pele, Ronaldo and Zico.
Besides Johnson, Lewis and Devers, Michael Johnson and Edwin Moses and actress Angelina Jolie were selected. Aniston is of Greek descent.
In London, Roger Bannister, Steve Redgrave, Tim Henman and Sally Gunnell are among 140 torch bearers who will carry the flame through the city.
The flame was lit in Ancient Olympia on March 25 and brought to Athens' marble stadium, where the first modern Olympics were held in 1896. It will burn at the stadium until June 4, when it starts a 46,800-mile journey across six continents, 27 countries and 33 cities with some 11,000 runners.
The torch relay returns to Greece July 9 for the second half of its domestic relay. Jolie will carry the torch during one of the relay's final stages for the
Aug. 13-29 Olympics.The longest ever Olympic torch relay, passing through five continents, will visit South America and Africa for the first time.

A Remake of "Gambit
Jennifer has committed to star in "Gambit," a remake of a 1966 British caper that starred Michael Caine (news) and Shirley MacLaine.
The film revolves around a British thief who comes up with a fool-proof plan to steal an expensive statue from one of the richest men in the world. His strategy involves the participation of a beautiful woman Jennifer who happens to be the spitting image of the rich man's late wife. However, nothing goes as planned. Sources said Sir Ben Kingsley also is attached to star as the millionaire, but his representatives could not be reached for comment.
The project had been set up at Universal Pictures, with Burr Steers ("Igby Goes Down") signed on to write and direct. It is known that Steers did a rewrite of the script -- originally penned by Joel and Ethan Coen, but later stepped off due to creative differences, sources said. The project was dropped by Universal and now has Bo Welch ("Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat") on board as director.
Producer Mike Lobell, who has been shepherding the redo for more than five years, will now take the project out to studios to set up with Jennifer on board.
"Gambit" marks the third project Jennifer has boarded since the end of her work on "Friends." She is next set to star in an untitled Warner Bros. project to be directed by "Matchstick Men" scribe Ted Griffin. She also has signed on to star in "Diary" for Columbia Pictures. She was most recently in theaters with Universal's hit comedy "Along Came Polly."

Jennifer Aniston was in Italy recently to promote her latest film Along Came Polly. But she didn’t use “dolce vita” as an excuse to dump her exercise regime.
She gamely continued jogging, even through the teeming streets of Rome, but got a little more than she bargained for when she felt someone pinch her butt. She whirled around to face a grinning Italian grandpa of 70!
What could she do other than to take off running again but this time with her bodyguard two paces back so he could keep an eye on her tail. Only in Rome, you say.

With the "Friends" finish line in sight, Jennifer is filling up her film slate, set to star in "Diary" for Escape Artists at Columbia Pictures after the NBC network airs the final episode of her 10-year hit series "Friends" in May. The story concerns a married woman whose diary is stolen and then used against her. Original script was written by Eric Nicholas, with current revisions by George Hickenlooper ("Mayor of the Sunset Strip"). Escape Artists is producing in conjunction with Summit Entertainment. This summer she'll begin production on Ted Griffin's Warner Bros. comedy about a woman who believes her family was the inspiration for "The Graduate" and then segue into "Diary." Jennifer is also to star in the film "A Soapbox Opera," alongside Luke Wilson, for Mindel/Shaw. At age 35, Jennifer is at the pinnacle of her career, turning everything she touches to GOLD!
