- Loved by millions as Rachel from Friends, Jennifer Aniston is giving Movies another shot playing Mark Wahlberg's girlfriend in Rock Star.  Here she talks about Brad, music and the end of that sitcom.

Jennifer Aniston pulls up in her silver Jag.  She is late.  To make amends, she waves as she parks.  Were at Tower records, on Sunset Boulevard, West Hollywood.  Inside, Aniston pulls out a crumpled piece of fax paper from her bag. on it she has scrawled a hand-written list.  For a famous person she is unconcerned that she is undisguised in a small store with narrow aisles.  We walk down a Rock/Pop/Soul isle. "I haven't been in here in like, 10 years, she says. the last time I  came people freaked next to me".

Aniston isn't talking about fan freak outs, but the street lunatic variety.  "I attract that", she said. "Once in New York, I must have been in the 11th grade, and there was this big homeless guy who looked like Santa (she puffs out here cheeks and makes a big gut with her hands.  everyone's walking by him, then I come by, and he slugs me in the face! no one wants to get hit by Santa, so everyone waked on by."  A few moments later a suspicious looking guy makes a beeline past three other customers, then tries to sell Aniston a $25 gift card.  he'll give it to her for $20.  She grins faintly, "no thanks dude", she says, "I'm all set."  

That's an understatement. Aniston, 32 and Brad Pitt, 37 have been married now for one year and recently celebrated their anniversary by moving into a $15,000,000 Malibu mansion.  With each friend earning $750,000 an episode Aniston is among the highest paid TV actresses.  She was also nominated for an Emmy for her role as Rachel.  For Aniston the nomination is a validation.

Rachel began the show as a spoilt rich girl but now the Friends have seemed to morph into a uni friend. Rachel's distinguishing trait is also hers: they are both very funny.  A deft physical comedian she used her body to deliver jokes - flashing a big eye, steeling her jaw, furrowing her brow or gesturing.  

She tells a story about how Jenna Bush  - the bush daughter whose underage drinking proved embarrassing - had an internship at the management firm where she and brad are represented.  "we'd pass her in the hall and Brad would say, heeyy jenna wanna beer, I got one in the truck."  

Anniston's comedic talents are all the more interesting when you consider that she is a sex symbol. quite a switch for someone who insists she was an ugly ducking.  as a chubby kid growing up in New York she soon developed d a thick skin to cope and a sense of humor.

"its a cliché - comedian's are tortured souls who are trying to make people like them and all that stuff".  Still, spend time with Aniston - who famously shed 30 lbs for her role in friends and you notice her jokes are self deprecating "I was a big old fat wuss" she confesses.

she may be a hot chick - but she carries herself as the class clown, which is an endearing combination. The homeless and insane sense this and there fore are unafraid of her.  she is in her funny and affable way the opposite of untouchable.  

We are record shopping as we want her to talk about music after all she is in rock star her new film,  she stars the girlfriend and manager of heavy metal god played by Wahlberg "I'm musically ignorant", she says.   "I'm going to embarrass myself here -  I used to listen to the sex pistols but I don't think I ever really like them, but i know they are worshipped!"  she goes on to say " I thought that it would get me accepted, being the fat kid and all, well not fat but ... "

When she asked Pitt how top play the part he offered words of Zen advice: "be Sting".  "Y'know the way Sting's so sexy and he's just there, like he doesn't have to try at all. So I though Sting huh? ok ill try it".

 The next day I went over to Warner Brothers in Burbank, where Friends is filmed.  co star Matthew Perry who knew Aniston before Friends has watched her grow and mature over the past decade.  "We shot into the public eye together", he says "I don't cope with it as well as Jenny - she does it very well.  I saw her change and do some hard work on herself, she really is a deeper soul".

Much of this is a tribute to her husband. They met casually in 1994 as they're manager's were friends.  "He was just this sweet guy from Missouri". Having broken up with their respective partner's  (Tate Donovan and Gwenth Paltrow)  they're managers set up a date - five moths later they were engaged and married on July 29th last year

"I had the typical jitters before my wedding but the day of it I was just exited, she says. "The nice thing about weddings now is that its not just a chick thing but a team effort.  It used to be the men grumbling why are you making me do this? there nothing more moving than seeing a man cry at his wedding".

She goes on "My friends were all supportive, but at first they were like, "I hope that he's not a conceited asshole!  But brad just disarmed them in five minutes, he is a beautiful human being."

As a bride of one year Aniston  exudes contentment. "When we argue it cannot be like,  "screw you, I'm outta here" - we are in it for the long haul, that's the beauty of it".

Since her marriage  she had become the target of tabloid rumors including accusations of drug taking.  "that's a funny one -  me and my husband hooked on drugs! then, you read the story and it says you smoke pot - I mean pot! c'mon its not cocaine or heroin".  

She says, "I'm not going to confirm whether its true or not (pause) I mean I enjoy it once in a while (pause).   There's nothing wrong with it, everything in moderation".  She continues, "I wouldn't call myself a pot head (pause). Can we change the subject please? my parents will be reading".  after her success she still remains humble and unaffected.

she even remains start struck,  revealing a time when she met Simon Le Bon from Duran Duran.  "Brad and I ran into him in a store in Santa Monica. I was looking at something and Brad was like, "dude ya gotta come see this", I was like, "what?" then like, "oh my god".  "I went up to him and was like, i waited in a hotel for you! He backed away going, "uh, great story, bust that one out on Leno!"

Aniston possesses no arrogance either.  "I do not expect anyone to give me a role just because I have name value I want to prove myself. I'm not a good auditioner though", she shrugs,  "I mess up then you know its Rachel from Friend's".

just before friends first episode, she recalls a trip to Las Vegas when she and her co stars were told there lives would change forever she says, "We were like, "yeah, yeah, yeah".   Does she recall anything else from the early days?   

"Its hard to remember, its all to long ago it feels like forever. Eight years man, that's longer than high school or any relationship your likely to have, I mean I can say I cant wait for this thing to be over but next fall? we will all be a mess".  

She goes on, "filming the last series was that little bit more special when we saw each other after the break.  "Schwimmer was going", "I don't think we understand what happening here, this is it. its sad."

Couple files $50 million suit over copycat wedding bands

THE PAIR CLAIMS Damiani International agreed to never reproduce the one-of-a-kind bands — including an engagement ring for Aniston designed by her hubby-to-be. But instead, they say Damiani exploited the deal by manufacturing and selling “Brad and Jennifer” knockoffs, hawking them on the Internet and at Damiani dealerships. “Damiani was nevertheless bent on obtaining just that — the type of publicity that money can’t buy: The purported endorsement and sponsorship of perhaps the world’s most recognizable couple,” according to the complaint, filed earlier this week in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles and obtained by L.A.’s City News Service.

PROMOTION ALLEGED Damiani International allegedly promoted the rings as the “Brad & Jennifer white-gold wedding bands with diamonds,” using the stars’ images to sell the rings at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas and a dealership in Palm Desert. The original bands were white gold — Pitt’s was engraved with “Jen 2000” and had 10 diamonds embedded in the ring, while Aniston’s was engraved with “Brad 2000” and had 20 diamonds. The bands being sold by Damiani are available in 18 karat white or yellow gold, featuring either 12 or 13 diamonds and costing about $1,000 apiece. Pitt and Aniston are seeking an injunction preventing Damiani from selling the rings or using their names or likeness.

STARS AS ‘SHILLS’ “Damiani essentially made Pitt and Aniston serve as its unwilling ‘shills,’ hawking its jewelry to potential customers,” the suit reads. Advertisement

Damiani representatives said they had not yet seen the lawsuit and couldn’t immediately comment. The family business, founded in 1924 by Enrico Grassi Damiani, is based in Milan and recently featured a more willing spokeswoman in actress Isabella Rossellini. But as one of the most talked-about celeb weddings of the past year, Brad and Jennifer’s nuptials were bound to have some folks cashing in. Pitt, 37, and Aniston, 32, exchanged vows under a white tent in Malibu last summer, in a star-studded gathering swarmed by paparazzi and TV news cameras, and cost a reported $1 million.

  As they celebrate their first anniversary, Hollywood's hottest couple prepares for their biggest role ever. By Judy Kessler

   And now, a little game of he said/she said.
   "Happily married! Fat! Kids!" he said.
   "He loves the idea of having a huge family," she said.
   "The planning is under way, " he said, eight months after their $1 million Wedding celebration.
    "I love everything about them," she said, describing her feelings about babies.
    "Listen, I'm ready now," he said.
    " I want to be a young mother, too," she said.
    Although there might be room for further dialogue, there's little doubt where Hollyood's royal couple, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt, has stood on the matter of children__even before their wedding took place. "You sort of know if you are a person who wants to be a mother," Aniston has said. " I always did."
    For His part, Pitt was just as sure: " I believe in the concept of marriage and family, and it's always been my intention to take this step and build a life with someone." 
    So who could be surprised to learn of a beautiful baby looming in the couple's near future?
    The perfect relationship, combined with the perfect time in their lives to have children, makes the prospect of a baby all the more exciting. At 32, Aniston has, in her own words, "evolved." She has clearly come a long way from the confusing 20's to a solid relationship with Pitt, an established career and considerable peace of mind. " I'm excited to be thirty," she said shortly after her birthday two years ago. "It feels like an accomplishment....like no more excuses."
    Despite their place at the top of Hollywood's A-list, This is a couple that sets priorities when it comes to the delicate balance of family and career. After the Emmys last year and before the big party that followed, the two went a Los Angeles hospital to visit their friend's newborn. "We jumped into the car, looked at each other and said, 'Lets go to the Cedar-Sinai," recounted Aniston. "Lets go to the hospital before we go to the party, just to get a burst of reality." Those awards show are so surreal ----fun but surreal."
    As her friend of many years Kristin Hahn, a bridesmaid at Aniston and Pitt's wedding, explained, "It's so easy to get lazy when you have everything at your fingertips...They challenge each other to have real intimacy, as opposed to getting away with what they world allows them to get away with."
    There was chemistry from the instant they met, an electric connection that sizzled on their first date three years ago and has only grown more powerful since. "We've felt pretty much like a force from the beginning," said Aniston recently. That's not surprising, considering their similarities. Both wanted to be actors; both possessed an artistic streak--he with design and architecture, she is a painter. Both headed for Hollywood to pursue their dreams, neither knowing the other would be waiting there at the end of the rainbow.
    At 25, Pitt left Springfield, Missouri, in his beat-up Datsun with $325 in his pocket. His first job after arriving in Los Angeles was a foul, dressing up like a chicken to wave customers inot a Pollo Loco restaurant. Around the same time in 1989, Aniston, barely 20, fled  New York for points west, after attending the renowned School for the Performing Arts. Her goal was a much to escape a difficult childhood {her parents had divorced when she was 9, and she has spoken of her insecurities growing up}, as it was to pursue an acting career. 
    Both Aniston and Pitt floundered for a while upon arriving in Hollywood. After working in commercials and TV shows, Pitt landed the role of the swindling but irresistible cowboy in 1991's Thelma & Louise. From there, it was right to the top: Legends of the Fall, Seven and this year's hit with Julia Roberts, The Mexican, to name a few. there were relationships along the way , including a very public engagement to Gwyneth Paltrow,  which ended with a painful breakup in 1997.
    Like her husband Aniston was, at first just another poor young actor. For many months, she waited tables and worked as a telemarketer, messenger or receptionist. After a vew false starts, in projects like the ho-hum thriller Leprechaun and two short-lived TV shows, Aniston was flatly told by her agent at the time that her success would be contingent upon becoming thinner. Throwing herself in to a strict regimen of diet and exercise, Aniston lost 30 pounds in a year.
     Almost instantly she landed the part of Rachel on Friends. Then came feature roles in films like She's the One and The Object of My Affection. This fall, she'll star oppisite Mark Wahlberg in RockStar. {Looking back, with concern about the pressures on teenage girls----Including the pressure to be thing ----Aniston has volunteered to advise them by the way of the Web site Voxxy.com She urges teens to work on their overall well-being, with less concern about outward appearance.}
     Aniston, like Pitt had her share of romances---with Counting Crows lead singer Adam Durvitz and actors Charlie Schlatter and Tate Donovan. She dated Donovan for more than a year, perhaps her most serious involvement until meeting Pitt. But post-Platrow, post-Donovan, when the two finally met on a dinner date, there was an instant and mutual attraction. "It's great when you can be each other's sounding board, "she has said.
     Since their wedding a year ago this month {July 29} the fusion seems to have grown even stronger. "married life is fantastic," Brad said last year after being voted "Sexiest Man Alive" by People Magazine for the second time. "The thing I was least prepared for was the pride I have whenever I look across at this woman....We're pretty much after the same thing, just great respect for each other." That, in turn has engendered respect from the couple's colleagues.  Jason Flemyng, who starred with Pitt in the recent film Snatch and has a part with Aniston in Rock STAR, has only praise for his costars: "They couldn't be more generous. There's no status hierarchy at all."
     Their fiends take pleasure in watching the Aniston-Pitt marriage blossom. "Jennifer's a lot more peaceful now," said Friends co-star Lisa Kudrow recently. "There's not a lot to say about them because there are no problems. They're both light-years ahead of themselves. You know how your grandparents have a certain perspective about life? They've got that now."
     They've also been working nonstop.  Aniston's  role in Rock Star has started to generate some favorable buzz. she's sure to surprise many of her TV fans with her gritty portrayal of the devoted girlfriend of a salesman {Wahlberg} whose life changes when he replaces the lead singer in a popular heavy-metal band. Pitt just finished filming Ocean's Eleven {with among others Julia Roberts and George Clooney} In which he plays the Dan Martin Character. Next comes "To the White Sea", a film by the Coen brothers {Fargo,O Brother, Where Art Thou?}.in which Pitt portrays a World War II gummer shot down over Tokyo.
      Career aside, Pitt maintains that the most important consideration for him and Aniston is their marriage. In answer to how he balances acting and his personal life, he recently replied, When they're on location, they keep in touch by cell phones----and visits to their respective sets. On Valentines' Day,  Aniston arrived at her Friends dressing room to find it over flowing with roses: on the wall Pitt had spelled out---in rose petals---- "I love my wife."
     When they're together, they're homebodies, seemingly seeking a sense of normalcy. Home life could soon revolve around the Craftsman-style house the couple is restoring in the hills of Hollywood.  {Others reports have had them looking to buy one of Los Angels' Legendary estates.{
        Settling into marriage has left Aniston open to the next phase of her life No doubt her biological clock has been a consideration as she inches towards 35 Time is clearly on her husband's mind. Three years shy of 40, with his desire for many as seven kids, Pitt said recently: " Look I am in my thirties, I don't want to waste time."
          Aniston has high hopes for motherhood. " I liked to be the perfect mom," she said in an interview, "but someone for who it's okay to be flawed." When asked during an online chat about raising children in the spotlight, she replied, "You have to keep them away from that world......You have to keep their lives very normal."  And , in what seemed like an reference to children in their future. she added: "Being raised with a silver spoon has a lot of downsides. Kids have to realize there are chores and jobs....It's not all glitz and glamour."
       It's a sentiment few Hollywood couples seem to understand as keenly as Aniston and Pitt. Staying rounded amid all the challenges of celebrity is a sure prescription for a happy family....for a family of any size...

A list of the top 10 Celebes cuts and hues as polled in the top saloons across the country. Jennifer was only beat out of the #1 spot by 1 placing, by Meg Ryan. "#2 an that ain't bad !" ( Remember the Guldens Mustard Jingle ?? )  in the most wanted cut, not a popular as the Rachel but still very much in demand, an #4 in color.

Now Jennifer replaced the long, skinny strands she's been wearing most recently with a fresh mid-length. Jennifer appeared with close pal Melissa Etheridge 02/01/01 on NBC's The Today Show. The interview focused on voxxy.com's launch of Jen XX, starring Jennifer, and the upcoming chat on February 5th that will feature a guest appearance by Melissa Etheridge .

During the interview, Jennifer spoke about how thrilled she was to be working on this new project. She noted that a big part of why she is excited about her work with Voxxy is that she can chat honestly and openly with teenage girls and help to "set the record straight" when it comes to unrealistic expectations that young girls unnecessarily feel they must live up to. She said often times the images that are presented by Hollywood are, in fact, "sugar coated and misleading." Jennifer and Melissa also spoke about the exciting nature and interactiveness of the web, at which point Melissa spoke about the live chats that she participates in with her fans ~ of course referring to our very own M.E.I.N. chats! Melissa noted that the Web is great way to maintain a more personal connection with her fans and that she relishes the opportunity of answering questions directly from them.

   Jennifer attended the Los Angeles premiere of husband Brad's latest released film "Snatch" solo. Brad was unable to attend  while shooting "Spy Games" in Morocco.

  The honeymoon's over for Jennifer Aniston. Or at least for her lawyers.

Just a week after she and Brad Pitt exchanged vows, the Friends star has taken a cue from her paparazzi-plagued hubby and filed an invasion of privacy lawsuit against two skin mags, which published shots of her sunbathing in the buff.

The lawsuit, filed Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court, claims an overzealous stalkerazzo climbed her neighbor's eight-foot wall and, using a telephoto lens, snapped shots of the new Mrs. Pitt "reclining topless in her backyard, wearing only her panties."

The spread, first published last year in Celebrity Skin magazine, featured the 31-year-old actress in a bit less than her wedding gown, with the understated, yet effective, headline: "First Time Photos/Friends Stars X-Posed--Rachel, Monica and Phoebe Get Naked!"

Aniston is asking a judge to permanently bar Man's World Publications and Crescent Publishing Group, which publish Celebrity Skin and High Society magazines, from publishing or distributing the pics. The suit seeks unspecified damages.

Caroline Landau, general counsel for the publishers, says the company has not yet been served with the papers. "I haven't read it, so I can't comment," she says.

According to the complaint, Aniston first saw the photos last September, and her attorney John Lavely sent a cease-and-desist order to the publishers. But the pics soon appeared again, in the December 1999 issue of High Society, featuring a full-page shot of Aniston in her panties (along with shots of her in a bathing suit in Mexico) with the headline, "Rachel Gets Raunchy/Her Shocking XXX-Rated Vacation."

Aniston's complaint contends that the publishers capitalized on the fact that she's never before appeared nude in a movie or photograph ("as a major selling point"), and that colorful descriptions alongside photos--like "raw" and "raunchy"--"were and are highly offensive and objectionable to plaintiff, as they would be to any reasonable person of ordinary sensibilities," the suit reads.

This should all sound vaguely familiar to her husband. With the help of Lavely in 1997, Pitt filed suit against beefcake nudie mag Playgirl after it published a series of stripped-down photos that were snapped while he was vacationing in the West Indies with onetime girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow in 1995. Like Aniston's suit, Lavely claimed the 10 Pitt photos were taken illegally by a trespassing photog.

Despite its First Amendment defense and claims that the photos were already widely published on the Net, Playgirl lost its battle. A judge ordered all remaining issues of the magazine (by then, of course, a collector's item) pulled from the newsstands.

July 30, 2000 Jennifer Linn Aniston & William Bradley Pitt tie the knot at a ocean side ceremony. I'm not going to do lots of details here.  July 21, 2000 there is so must a float in Print on various magazines on an offline. about the Aniston / Pitt wedding. Will it happen? Will it happen this weekend? Will it happen next weekend?  Well  unless you were lucky enough to get a invitation , I guess we will have to wait for the rest of that story. However if this is the real thing and it has, does, or is going to happen . "Friends" Sign New Contract     

The cast of NBC's Friends just signed a two-year contract renewal on Sunday, one before NBC is to unveil its fall lineup. The cast David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox Arquette and Matt LeBlanc will each receive $750,000.00 per episode, all the while their share of syndication rights will double from a half point to a full point, according to industry sources. Each actor received this season $125,000.00,that is quite a healthy raise but well deserved.

The top-rated series starring Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox Arquette, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer has appeared on NBC for six seasons, which is nearing its end for this season now with only one show left to air in the US. NBC unveils its fall schedule Monday in New York.

The show airs on 05/10/2000 @ 10:00 PM EST, focusing on the young superstars of Hollywood.The shows will also focus on Gwyneth Paltrow, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Winona Ryder, Minnie Driver, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Ed Norton, Courtney Love, John Cusack, Salma Hayek, and Heather Graham.

All proceeds for this event will be donated to the TJ Martell Foundation for Pediatric AIDS Research.
